I've just turned yesterday's design into a repeat. Rather pleased with it I am.

and wasn't hungry anymore so was able to concentrate and finish the design in my last post. Hurrah!

I hope to make some more progress this afternoon. I'm starving though which contributes to my lack of concentration!

So far today I have....

put these lovely hooks back up in the bathroom. We've been decorating and I couldn't bear to see them discarded on the floor any longer.

I've just been asked to make one of my designs into a pop up card by one of our customers, so that's my job for today! It's a gingerbread house and Christmas candy design I did a few months ago - probably the most detailed work I've ever done! It's been nice to return to it, usually going back to old designs can be a bit of a pain...

today has been a bit low on the productivity scale, but I did make some changes to some traditional designs I did a few weeks ago. Traditional Christmas is not my strong point or my most favourite subject matter but I'm quite pleased with the result.

I've had a massive case of 'photography envy' lately and have become determined to learn how to use my lovely digital slr to it's full advantage (and not just on the auto setting) however, this is going to take me a while. Inspired by Beth's wonderful wedding photos and Christina's lomo style experiment I've been googling 'vintage photo effects tutorial' and this is the outcome. I think I'll be spending some time this weekend having fun with photoshop!

a new way to blog

I love blogs. But how do people find the time? I want to be a fantastic blogger who spends time lovingly updating and adding new posts but JUST DON'T SEEM TO FIND THE TIME!!! As mostly what I post is my own work I often feel like 'that's not quite ready for posting yet' so my new way to blog is to....screen grab! I'm going to screen grab sections of my work as I'm creating them to give you a sneak peak of what I'm working on. That way I can blog more often without being too precious. Brilliant!!
