It's nearly December...hooray!

Yes! December 1st tomorrow, it's nearly here! This little penguin is far more organised than me and has his Christmas shopping done already - he only had to buy one present though...I wonder who it's for?!

A colour change

Here's the latest version of the print I've been working on. I've also been working on some prints for my sister and brother in law in the same colour way for their brand spanking new kitchen but can't post them yet - it's a Christmas present!

something for us two

Today I've finally managed to start some brand new work and for a change it's some personal work. Our living room wall is in desperate need of some prints so have been playing around with some ideas. It's so hard to know what sot of work I want to do for 'us' when I spend so much time drawing Santa!

My new wallpaper obsession

I really hate decorating but really like things to look nice so when one room is done I can't wait to do another. I've now got my eye on this wallpaper.



I think it would look wonderful at the top of the stairs!

The mac is back!

I've been reunited with my mac...it's had the full works, new hard drive, logic board and top case! I'm now fully set up with time machine so should never have a little mishap again (touch wood and all that)

Sod's law has worked in my favour and have sold a few of the designs I've lost so will be spending a few days re-doing those so there'll be no new work from me to post in the meantime...

I'll leave you in Olga's capable hands for the next post...

A terrible thing has happened...

My hard drive has passed away and taken a weeks worth of work with it and very many photos. I could cry and stamp my feet about it but I like to think I'm a positive person and am focusing on what I can do about it and (trying!) not to feel sorry for myself! My agent is just about to go on a trip to the states and luckily I'd got all my new designs printed out ready for that so at least I have physical copies of them...it'll be a case of recreating them from my printouts but it could have been a lot worse.

It's all my photos I'll miss...I luckily still have loads on my camera (including my sister's wedding, thankfully!) and other important ones I have passed on to friends so can get copies of them back.

Although I back up regularly I only back my work up as that seems like the most important as that's what my computer is for so I feel stupid for not backing my photos up. It's quite worrying really how much of your life is stored away on a little machine! Let's go back to the old days of 35mm and sending your film off to truprint!!

Luckily I had a two year warranty with my macbook (thank you John Lewis!) so can get a new hard drive without forking out for it but there may not be any posts for a while! Looks like I'll be getting my pencil's out while my mac is in hospital...not a bad thing!
